Due to recent changes statewide to provide social distancing in response to the coronavirus outbreak, Kids Always Kount is implementing stringent precautions to prevent exposure and spread of infection. If you have a child that is medically fragile or has a compromised immune system, please contact the front office to discuss scheduling changes and needs. For all other clients, we will continue to provide therapy services as long as it is deemed safe for all parties involved. However, sessions will be decreased to 45 minutes in order to allow for thorough cleaning between clients. Additionally, ALL clients will be picked up for therapy from the vehicle and will be returned to the vehicle. Only therapy items and tools that can be sanitized will be used during sessions. No co-treatments or group therapy sessions will take place at this time. The sensory gym will also be closed until the precautions are lifted.
If an employee or family member in the same household has a sore throat or other coronavirus symptoms (fever, sore throat, or persistent dry cough), the employee can not come to work until testing can be completed; and a medical professional has cleared the employee to return to work.
If your child or someone in your family presents with symptoms related to the coronavirus, please cancel your child’s therapy session(s) until testing has confirmed it is safe to return (or until a quarantine period is over).
Some insurance companies may cover telehealth services (therapy via the internet). If you feel this is a more appropriate option for your child and family, please contact your insurance provider to request temporary coverage for teletherapy (if your policy does not provide coverage at this time). Kids Always Kount will also be offering telehealth services as a private pay option if insurance does not cover. Please know our administrative team has collaborated to develop a plan of action that will keep you, your family, and our employees as safe as possible while maintaining business and therapy operations. If you have any questions or concerns, do not hesitate to contact us at (251) 517-0355.
This policy will be updated as needed in order to respond appropriately to guidelines established by state and local authorities and the CDC.
